Reading romance got me through law school strangely enough and now that I am going through a situation similar to yours with my mom it is even more of a sanity saver.
I read constantly – right now I am reading a YA series about a skeleton detective called Skullduggery Pleasant. And I LOVE IT. But romance it is not 🙂
I’ve dabbled in YA and always enjoy reading mystery/thrillers although I can’t if it’s so gory that it’s silly or so true to life that I can’t sleep. So romance is the perfect escape for me to read and write.
